By creating an account or using Deals Place (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
Deals Place is a two-sided marketplace operating in Canada that connects diners with partner restaurants offering discounts on menu items. Diners reserve discounted items through the Deals Place app and pay the restaurant directly at pickup. Deals Place facilitates discovery and reservation; it does not handle payments between diners and restaurants.
You must be at least 18 years of age and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.
You are responsible for any activity that happens on your account, including reservations made under your account. Keep your phone number, verification codes, and login details secure. Notify us promptly at hello@dealsplace.ca if you believe your account has been used by someone else.
When you reserve a deal, Deals Place generates a unique pickup code and holds the item for you during the pickup window the restaurant has specified. To collect, you present the pickup code at the restaurant during the window and pay the restaurant directly.
If you do not collect a reservation during the pickup window and have not cancelled in advance, the reservation is considered a no-show. Repeated no-shows result in strikes against your account. Three strikes within a rolling period will pause your ability to make new reservations. Cancelling before the pickup window opens does not count as a strike.
Restaurants are responsible for the food they list, the accuracy of their menu items, dietary tags, allergen information, and pickup windows. Deals Place is not liable for the quality, safety, or accuracy of items provided by partner restaurants. Disputes about an item should be raised first with the restaurant, then with Deals Place if unresolved.
You agree not to: misuse the Service or attempt to access it by any means other than the interface we provide; submit false information; harass or threaten restaurant staff or other diners; reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to interfere with the platform's operation; or use the Service to violate any applicable law.
Deals Place and its logos, branding, and content are owned by Deals Place or its licensors. You may not use them without permission. Content you submit (restaurant photos, reviews, etc.) remains yours, but you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it within the Service.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that deals you see will remain available.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Deals Place, its officers, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Service.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.
We may modify or discontinue the Service at any time. We will post updated Terms at this URL and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated to active accounts by email or in-app notice.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the courts of Alberta.
